Junior Naturalist Camp

The Junior Naturalist Camp provides an opportunity for children aged 6 to 10 to learn more about the environment.  The camp runs August 11th to 15th for 2 hours every day from 10 am to noon, at the community centre in Wilberforce.  The fee is $10/day or $45/week.  Children can sign up for one or more days or the entire week.  Young nature enthusiasts will take part in a variety of activities that explore our natural world.  Every day has a different nature theme and includes an educational component, outdoor activities, games, and crafts.  The camp is led by Irene Heaven, an experienced outdoor educator.  She is assisted by a student and volunteers from the Haliburton Highlands Field Naturalists.  A limited number of subsidies are available.  Contact Irene Heaven at 705-286-3181 or email iheaven@outtolearn.ca.
